Emerald Defiance: Acrylic, Oil & Gold Leaf Painting

Add an unforgettable force of nature to your collection with Emerald Defiance, an original mixed media painting by Kelly O'Brien. This striking work captures the raw tension between stillness and rebellion—a stallion cloaked in deep emerald and radiant gold, embodying the essence of wildness that refuses to yield.

Product Details:

  • Title: Emerald Defiance

  • Artist: Kelly O'Brien

  • Medium: Mixed Media (Acrylic, Oil, Gold Leaf)

  • Dimensions: 48 x 72 x 1.5 inches

Description:

Emerald Defiance is a vivid portrait of resistance and power held in suspension. The stallion stands still, yet every line suggests motion beneath the surface—an untamed spirit restrained only for a moment. Rich emerald tones pulse with energy, while glints of gold leaf shimmer like armor. The layered textures and expressive brushwork give the piece a bold presence, and the contemporary floater frame completes its refined edge.

This is a painting about defiance not through chaos, but through unwavering stillness. It’s not a wild charge—it’s the calm before one.

Why You'll Love It:

  • Striking Original Statement: A one-of-a-kind artwork that blends mythical presence with refined technique.

  • Layered Texture and Light: Emerald paintwork and gold leaf detailing create movement, depth, and visual intrigue.

  • Symbol of Strength: A tribute to independence, inner fire, and the kind of power that doesn’t need to announce itself.

  • Large-Scale Presence: Designed to anchor high-impact spaces with elegance, energy, and narrative depth.

About the Artist:
